Project Management

This is a project I managed that supports the foundational work of the University Marketing & Communications team at the University of Washington. The UW website is a vital communication channel for students, faculty, staff, donors and prospective students. The team hosts over 150 website and is the leader of brand strategy and standard. This project was to overhaul the WordPress web theme by making the necessary updates to keep up with changing tools and technologies and create a set of new tools and standards to maintain an ease of use for content generators and web developers.

I used an iterative approach (agile) including sprint planning, backlog management and change requests management to address the following:

Update and implement Bootstrap to its fullest capabilities, create XD component toolkit, build out themes and design within the software, create HTML templates, build specific plugins for immersive story pages, ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement of infrastructure.

This project brought together front end web developers, UX designers, leadership and various stakeholders. We rolled out these new elements to unit stakeholders across campus and implemented their feedback.
